Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen is drawing fresh attention as a new film, The Social Reckoning, brings her story to a wider audience. Starring Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White, the film recreates her choice to expose Facebook's internal research.

Haugen spoke to journalists she has "extreme worry" about a shift in values at Meta and believes Zuckerberg is taking dangerous risks with AI. She said she hopes the film inspires others to act, telling The Verge she wants it to inspire more whistleblowers.
